Switching Off (But Not Really): A Holiday with Epoxy Still on My Mind

Running a business is full-on. The hours are long, the to-do lists never end, and the pressure to keep things moving forward can feel constant. That’s why stepping away, even for a short holiday, is so important.

This week, I’ve given myself permission to pause. To recharge. To enjoy a bit of sun, sea, or maybe just a quiet break away from the usual routine. Because the truth is, rest is part of the process. If you never switch off, you never come back sharper.

But here’s the funny thing… even on holiday, epoxy is never far from my thoughts. I’ll see a pattern in the water that reminds me of a resin pour. Or a marble countertop in a restaurant that makes me imagine the resin version I could create. Ideas don’t stop just because you’re out of office.

And honestly? I wouldn’t want them to. That constant flow of inspiration is what makes me excited to come back and pick things up again.

So yes, I’m resting, I’m recharging, but I’m also carrying that spark of epoxy with me everywhere I go. Because once you love what you do, it never really leaves you.

Here’s to coming back refreshed, re-energised, and ready to grow this business even further.
